Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team, working from New York or other U.S. locations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex construction projects through expert cost management and strategic planning.
You will develop comprehensive cost plans and estimates spanning from concept through detailed design phases, including assessment of local conditions and detailed rate breakdowns covering materials, labor, plant, and productivity factors. The role involves providing feasibility studies utilizing parametric benchmark cost data and delivering reasoned cost advice on estimating and planning elements.
You will maintain deep understanding of local market rates and project nuances while contributing to our benchmark library and advising on the accuracy of cost estimates from external parties. The position includes conducting benchmarking studies, cost data analysis, and preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
You will perform all aspects of procurement management, including pre-qualification stages, bid list production, bid analysis and reporting, and compilation of contractual documents. The role encompasses post-contract cost variance management, change control processes, cost checks, and valuations on larger projects ensuring timely and accurate processes.
You will produce monthly cost reports and present findings directly to clients, provide input into value engineering and options analysis, and maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages. Additionally, you will identify improvements for cost estimating procedures, templates, and products, referring innovative ideas to appropriate line management.
