The Logistics Support Officer plays a critical role in supporting both the strategic and day‑to‑day management of global logistics to ensure products are delivered to customers reliably, cost‑effectively, and sustainably. The role integrates infrastructure planning, contract and inventory management, compliance, and operational execution to strengthen the efficiency of current and future supply chains. A key part of the position is maintaining a single, accurate source of truth across logistics processes through Salesforce applications, while also driving continuous improvement to enhance customer delivery, value creation, performance reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration - particularly as the business expands into emerging and developing markets. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the long‑term global logistics strategy by sharing insights and best practices that increase value for customers and internal stakeholders. Support sales pipeline targets by collaborating with teams to develop tailored logistics solutions that optimise inventory positions and respond effectively to market demands. Gather and interpret market intelligence to identify opportunities that strengthen the organisation’s competitive position. Manage stock levels, stock control processes, and delivery schedules for all shipments—including the unique requirements of sample shipments into new markets. Ensure accuracy of all data and documentation across internal systems and audit requirements. Assist in preparing and executing warehousing and logistics contracts in both established and new markets to ensure inventory is positioned close to customers. Maintain operational efficiency by planning, measuring, and scheduling stockpile replenishment in line with product allocation and logistics constraints. Execute logistics operations aligned with end‑user strategies to ensure product availability meets demand. Support supply chain teams with invoicing, reconciliation, and processing of logistics‑related costs. Manage high volumes of small‑quantity sample movements during peak seasons while maintaining service quality. Manage Salesforce applications, identifying opportunities to automate and scale manual processes. Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and central functions to support planning, growth projects, and compliance with reporting obligations. Capture and communicate the value generated through commercial and operational activities. Analyse logistics performance data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement. Maintain inventory schedules, reconciliation reports, and performance metrics. Prepare reports for cross‑functional stakeholders. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and performance optimisation. Propose innovative, measurable, value‑adding solutions with a strong emphasis on sustainable and scalable logistics operations.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred). Technical Knowledge Global logistics operations and multi‑modal transport. Warehouse management principles and inventory control. Import/export regulations and customs compliance. Contract structures for logistics and warehousing services. Demand planning, stock control, and replenishment processes. Cost‑to‑serve analysis and logistics cost structures. Market intelligence and competitive supply chain insights. Data governance, audit requirements, and traceability. Supply chain risk management and business continuity. Salesforce or equivalent workflow and data‑management systems. Technical Skills Inventory planning, scheduling, and replenishment. Managing 3PL and logistics service provider performance. Ensuring data accuracy, documentation control, and reporting.
