As part of the dynamic, results-oriented Corporate Marketing organization, the Senior Manager, Customer Marketing will play a strategic role within WD’s Brand Strategy & Experience team. The primary objective of this role is to build and scale a global customer advocacy and storytelling program that validates WD’s leadership as the storage foundation of the AI-driven data economy. WD’s durable storage systems form the indispensable infrastructure that makes AI possible, delivering certainty in capacity, performance, and efficiency at every scale. Customer stories are critical to bringing this leadership to life. This role will partner closely with enterprise customers to capture real-world outcomes and translate them into compelling marketing proof points that strengthen WD’s credibility across AI infrastructure and data innovation markets. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with AR/PR, Brand, Channel Marketing, Communications, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to identify strategic customer advocates and develop storytelling assets (e.g., case studies, testimonials, and executive narratives) that support marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and industry visibility. What You’ll Achieve A vibrant customer advocacy program that validates WD’s leadership as the storage foundation of the AI-driven data economy A strong pipeline of referenceable enterprise customers across AI infrastructure and data innovation markets Compelling customer stories that showcase real-world outcomes in capacity, performance, and efficiency Strong partnerships with Sales, Product Marketing, and Communications teams A scalable library of customer proof points supporting campaigns, executive storytelling, and global industry events Essential Duties & Responsibilites: Build and scale WD’s global enterprise customer advocacy and storytelling program Identify and develop strategic customer relationships that support long-term advocacy Lead development of case studies, video testimonials, and customer reference stories Capture customer success stories across marketing campaigns, industry events, and digital channels Support PR initiatives and thought leadership programs through credible customer proof points Partner with Brand Narrative and Product Marketing teams to ensure customer stories reinforce WD’s enterprise positioning Collaborate with communications and creative teams to translate customer innovation into engaging storytelling assets Manage relationships with external production partners and agencies supporting customer content creation Maintain a scalable library of customer reference stories and advocacy assets used across campaigns, sales enablement, and executive programs
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience Deep experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing Direct experience building customer advocacy or customer storytelling programs within enterprise IT markets Proven track record developing case studies, testimonials, and customer reference programs Strong ability to build relationships with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, and Communications teams Strong storytelling and editorial judgment with the ability to translate complex technology into compelling narratives Experience managing agencies and external creative partners Organized, methodical, strong project manager Skillful verbal and written communicator Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Preferred: Experience in AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, or enterprise data systems Familiarity with enterprise storage, hyperscale infrastructure, or data platform technologies Experience capturing customer stories at global industry events and executive programs
