Job Summary: The Head of Internal Audit for Mexico will be responsible for leading the internal audit function, overseeing the execution of the Mexico Internal Audit Plan, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory obligations. The Head of Internal Audit for Mexico will also support the execution of global audits. Based in Mexico City, this senior role reports functionally to the Global Head of Regulatory Risk Audit & The Americas, and locally to the PayPal Mexico Board Audit Committee. The position demands a high level of expertise in Mexico's regulatory landscape, including interaction with regulators such as the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV), Banco de México, and CONDUSEF. Represent the Internal Audit function with Mexico regulators, executive management, and governance bodies, including the Mexico Audit Committee and PayPal Mexico Senior Leaders. Advise and consult on local regulatory requirements to ensure PayPal’s operations comply with CNBV, Banco de México, and CONDUSEF mandates. Audit Execution & Reporting Manage audit assignments including local (legal entity audits) and global audits, draft and review audit findings, and track issues to closure. Ensure audits evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with PayPal’s audit methodology and global standards. Coordinate and report the status of audits, issues, and findings to local and global stakeholders, including the PayPal Mexico governance entities and Mexico regulators.
