The 'compliance services' team at AECOM are currently looking for an Environmental Scientist to join their team in Singleton. At AECOM, we are excited to be involved in the region’s transformative projects and have a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. How you’ll make a difference Manage environmental compliance projects across mining, councils and power generation clients. Lead client communication and build strong, trusted relationships. Mentor and support technicians and junior staff across field and office work. Deliver environmental monitoring programs (surface water, groundwater and air quality), including data collection, validation and reporting. Undertake site work (around two days per week), including sampling and supervision. Ensure quality assurance across data, reporting and compliance with legislation.

Experience in environmental compliance, ideally within a consulting or field-based environment A degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, planning or a related discipline. Understanding of environmental monitoring, data quality assurance and health and safety practices. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your time, plan work effectively and contribute to team operations. Confident communication and report writing skills, with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders. A proactive, team-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience in client-facing or project coordination roles is beneficial, but not essential. Hold a current driver’s licence and be able to undertake regular site work, including passing an Order 45 medical.
