About This Job As a Business Development Consultant at NIQ, you will be the first point of contact for prospects exploring our consumer intelligence solutions. Responsibilities Continuously develop expertise in the FMCG industry and NIQ solutions to act as a trusted advisor for Small & Medium clients. Own and develop relationships with an assigned portfolio of existing accounts, identifying growth opportunities through deep understanding of client business needs, challenges, and priorities. Proactively identify and drive up‑selling and cross‑selling opportunities by positioning relevant NIQ products and insights that deliver measurable business value. Maintain a strong hunter mentality by actively prospecting and acquiring new FMCG Small & Medium clients through outbound activities, inbound qualification, and referrals. Effectively pitch NIQ solutions to decision makers, tailoring messaging to both existing clients and new prospects to support expansion and acquisition goals. Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries, assessing client readiness and potential before progressing opportunities within the sales pipeline. Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, social channels, and events to re‑engage existing accounts and penetrate net‑new target clients. Use prospecting and research tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Lusha, SalesLoft, MS Dynamics CRM) to uncover whitespace opportunities within current accounts and build targeted new‑business pipelines. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of all client interactions, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system. Monitor key performance indicators including account growth, pipeline value, cross‑sell/up‑sell conversion, and new client acquisition. Prepare regular performance and pipeline reports, providing insights on account health and growth opportunities to sales management. Collaborate closely with sales partners and internal stakeholders to ensure high‑quality opportunities, strong client engagement, and effective deal progression. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of sales or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in fast‑paced, customer‑focused, performance‑driven environments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities. Excellent researching, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Comfort using tools such as MS Office, MS Dynamics CRM, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Lusha; ability to quickly learn new systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
