Why is this role important to Field Nation?
The Sales Development Specialist is the first point of contact for prospects entering the Field Nation ecosystem. This is a highly sales-driven, communication-intensive role requiring hands-on experience engaging US buyers over the phone. The person in this role will also help define best practices, call frameworks, and qualification standards as the team scales in Bangladesh.
This will help us establish our sales development function in Bangladesh, and is essential to ensuring a seamless prospect experience and maximizing the conversion of hand-raisers into high-value customers. The Sales Development Specialist is part of the Revenue Marketing team and is critical for supporting pipeline conversion and buyer success through timely follow-up, qualification, and effective lead routing. This position is an excellent opportunity for professionals aiming to grow into sales, customer-facing roles, or demand generation, with potential for future advancement into outbound prospecting.
What you'll do:
Inbound Qualification and Engagement: Conduct effective discovery calls (phone and video) to qualify prospective buyers based on business need, urgency, and fit Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads from marketing and other channels, responding to inquiries with speed, curiosity, and clarity to maximize conversion and ensure a positive prospect experience Engage decision-makers and influencers through phone and video-based sales conversations Clearly articulate Field Nation’s marketplace model and value proposition Handle buyer objections with confidence and professionalism while maintaining control of the conversation Route qualified opportunities to account executives with clear context and next steps Maintain accurate and timely activity tracking, notes, and lead statuses in Salesforce and other sales tools Establish Sales Development Function in Bangladesh: Help establish the foundational structure for the sales development function in Bangladesh, including core workflows and operating standards Apply and operationalize structured qualification and call best practices established by US-leadership, ensuring consistency and scalability for future team members Identify gaps in process execution and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and conversion Provide insights from prospect conversations to continuously improve messaging and qualification effectiveness Partner closely with US-based Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging, lead routing, and buyer engagement Support onboarding and mentoring of future hires while setting the performance and cultural standard for the team Outbound Prospecting (Future Opportunity) Apply prior outbound prospecting experience to execute against established messaging and campaigns when outbound is introduced Follow structured outreach sequences and playbooks developed in partnership with US-based teams Share insights from prospect interactions to help improve the effectiveness of campaigns Opportunity to expand into outbound prospecting responsibilities as the role and team evolve
You might be a good fit if you have:
4-6 years experience in sales development, inside sales, or business development roles supporting USA/UK/Australian companies. Strong understanding of B2B sales fundamentals and qualification best practices Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and cold calling, with the ability to articulate performance and results Experience running structured qualification or discovery calls independently (phone and video) Experience working within defined sales processes, playbooks, and qualification frameworks Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members preferred Familiarity with US sales culture and buyer expectations. Excellent communication, active listening, and objective handling skills Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation, and sales productivity tools (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) Curiosity and a self-starter mindset—you’re not afraid to dive into new verticals or conversations. You’ll pick up the phone and make the call. Ability to operate effectively in a new and evolving function across time zones with a high degree of autonomy and accountability Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment Experience in tech marketplaces (preferably in the USA/UK/Australian companies), field services, or high-velocity sales environments preferred
