Our highly regarded Environmental team in Darwin is seeking Professional Environmental Scientist/ Engineer with exposure to Contaminated land investigations and remediation to support a wide range of exciting and meaningful projects across the Defence, government, mining, and energy sectors. At AECOM’s Darwin office, you’ll gain hands-on experience in: Contaminated land investigations and remediation (Focus area) Hydrology, hydrogeology, and water quality monitoring Environmental impact assessment and approvals Biodiversity surveys and ecological assessments Environmental management planning and auditing You’ll get the best of both worlds – the agency of working in a small office with the support and capacity of one of the world’s largest engineering consultancies. What will a day in this role look like: Delivering fieldwork across ground remediation and contaminated land projects, including site investigations, remediation works, validation sampling and monitoring across the NT and beyond Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused outcomes Engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts Contributing to a positive team culture and collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment

What are we looking for from you? A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, and a valid Australian driver’s licence and Australian Citizenship (due to project requirements requiring defence clearance) Around 1- 3 years experience in ground remediation , including contaminated land assessment, soil and groundwater remediation or related field-based work ideally Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and get involved across a wide range of projects while contributing to a supportive, team-focused environment Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and a commitment to delivering quality work
