What will a day in this role look like: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams: Engaging with engineers, planners, ecologists and other specialists to assess proejct impacts and develop innovative solutions that align with regulatory requirements and client goals. Conducting environmental assessments: Gather environmental data and develop project understanding to prepare comprehensive environmental assessments for diverse projects across a range of industries. Navigating regulatory approvals: Work with an experienced team to build confidence liasing with government agencies and stakeholders to comply with environmental requirements, secure necessary approvals and advocate for sustainable project outcomes. Driving sustainability and innovation: Contribute to the development of strategies that minimise environmental impacts, promote biodiversity and integrate real solutions into project planning and delivery. Foster strong relationships: Work directly with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support project delivery and long-term engagement.
The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Scient/Management/Engineering or Town/Urban/Environmental Planning with 2+ years’ experience in development approvals and planning, with consulting experience delivering projects for a range of clients viewed favourably. Knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental and planning legislation. Demonstrable understanding of environmental concepts and technical content with the ability to interpret and apply knowledge in projects. Adaptable and interested in working across multiple sectors and client types.
