AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer II based in San Francisco or Oakland, CA to support a wide range of projects across industries including entertainment, commercial, industrial, government, detention, and parking structures.
Key Responsibilities: This role offers the opportunity to develop analytical and design skills while focusing on seismic design, seismic retrofits, and advanced structural analysis methods. The engineer will work closely with senior team members on large-scale projects while taking ownership of smaller assignments—managing design, analysis, reporting, and coordination independently. Daily responsibilities include preparing calculations and drawings, authoring structural reports and studies, coordinating with other disciplines, and providing construction administration support.
Qualifications: This position is ideal for an engineer who wants to grow technical expertise while gaining increasing project management responsibility. You will work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation as well as company, client, and industry standard practices. The role includes mentoring and teaching junior engineers as part of your career growth within our Building+ Places group.
