Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aviation team in Dublin, Europe. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead cost management on high-profile aviation projects while developing and managing a team of quantity surveying professionals.
Key Responsibilities: The SQS is responsible for cost control on behalf of the Contracting Entity, managing a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors in ensuring effective management and control of spend. You'll ensure payments are compliant with contracting reimbursement principles including schedules of rates, bills of quantity, materials on and off site payments, and monitoring anticipated final project costs.
Cost Management Excellence: You will provide cost management and cost advice to the Claims, Contract Management and Project Management team, ensuring that the Contracting Entity achieves the project's budgetary goals and objectives. This includes undertaking or reviewing measurement of designs and on-site works completed, developing the schedule of rates or Bill of Quantities, and providing assessment of on and off site materials.
Team Leadership: You'll support the Head of Programme Controls and the Quantity Surveying Manager in leading a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors, each responsible for the implementation of cost management on their projects. This involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring appropriate implementation of cost management processes, and developing and maintaining detailed resourcing plans for delivery.
Financial Oversight: The role includes preparing monthly payment certificates and package final accounts, monitoring anticipated final project costs, and making recommendations for monthly payments or final accounts due while ensuring Contractual Entitlement. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional cost management services.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in aviation or large infrastructure projects. Strong team management capabilities and excellent analytical skills. Knowledge of contract management and reimbursement principles.
