Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Senior Project Manager to join our team delivering construction projects for the Department for Education. This role involves leading complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery of educational infrastructure meeting the highest standards.
Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within time, budget, and quality parameters in accordance with government standards. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation aligned with Department for Education requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Implement and oversee effective project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues and ensure project resilience. Monitor project finances and manage the change control process in compliance with government financial regulations.
Facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders through regular meetings, written reports, and government-mandated documentation. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Department for Education officials, school administrators, and community stakeholders. Present project updates to leadership and government officials with clear, concise reporting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the education construction portfolio. Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the organization.
