Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/E&M)

About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with MEP/E&M specialization to join our team in Hong Kong. This role involves comprehensive cost management duties across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports
• Apply Value Management techniques at project outset
• Manage estimating and cost planning activities including ownership of final cost plan
• Manage procurement process including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation
• Ensure effective management of post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Ensure cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients
• Conduct value engineering and life cycle costing
• Negotiate and agree final accounts
• Take lead role in interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering/Building Service or equivalent
• 5-10 years experience in related fields
• Excellent technical knowledge across full range of Cost Management duties
• Experience with Cost Estimates, Bills of Quantities, Value Engineering, Tendering and Evaluation
• Contract knowledge and Change Orders experience
• Final Account close-out experience
• MEP QS background with mechanical and electrical work experience preferred
• Team player with excellent leadership skills
