Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager MEP for Industrial and Data Center Construction Projects in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. The MEP Coordinator is responsible for analyzing electromechanical and special installations, verifying compliance with project technical specifications and Mexican legislation norms.
You will elaborate and control reports while monitoring the qualification of contractor craftsmen and recommending actions for improvement. The role corresponds to pipe/mechanical disciplines and involves direct day-to-day monitoring of the work site, requiring advanced knowledge in construction and site support activities.
You will analyze and evaluate construction drawings, technical specifications, and scope of works on site, comparing projects against Mexican standards (or international standards) and client standards. The position includes developing construction schedules and cost estimates, providing input in WBS and cost/project reviews, and supporting value engineering initiatives.
You will contribute to risk analysis and updating project risk matrices while interpreting, applying, and implementing safety standards and best practices. The role encompasses installation of process, electrical, and mechanical equipment, plant inspection of piping and equipment fabrication, and installation oversight.
You will manage checkout, pre-commissioning, and commissioning planning and execution, along with work planning, scheduling, and execution. The position requires familiarity with quality requirements to define and review quality plans, and the ability to plan and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
