E2E CT Control Tower (North America) Job Level: 107 Location: San Jose, CA Headquarters Role Overview The Logistics Manager, Control Tower supports daily transportation and logistics operations with a focus on real‑time visibility, exception management, and service performance across North America. This role monitors shipments, escalates delays, maintains data accuracy, and partners with internal teams and carriers to help ensure reliable, customer‑focused logistics execution. The role contributes to continuous improvement, assists in technology adoption, and supports operational readiness and reporting across regional transport flows. Key Responsibilities Control Tower Operations & Visibility Support Monitor day‑to‑day transportation flows for North America, identifying delays, exceptions, and risk triggers. Escalate disruption issues and support corrective actions to maintain service levels. Maintain regional dashboards and key performance indicators (OTD, OTIF, exceptions, detention/demurrage trends). Work with procurement, customer operations, carriers, 3PLs, and trade compliance to resolve operational issues. Support root‑cause analysis and contribute to preventive action improvements. Digital Tools & Process Improvement Utilize visibility platforms (e.g., FourKites, Project44) and transportation systems (TMS/OTM) for shipment monitoring. Support data quality validation and identify workflow gaps that impact visibility. Participate in digitalization initiatives, including basic workflow automation and system testing. Partner with the Logistics COE on improvements that enhance operational accuracy and data consistency. Operational Excellence Assist in maintaining regional KPI reporting, trend analysis, and weekly performance reviews. Support small‑to‑medium improvements that reduce exceptions, improve carrier performance, or enhance customer delivery. Contribute to peak‑season readiness and scenario planning activities. Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with planning, procurement, transportation operations, trade compliance, and customer care teams to align on issue resolution. Share status updates, data insights, and exception details clearly and promptly. Help maintain documentation and ensure adherence to compliance standards. Data Analytics & Reporting Use dashboards (Power BI, Excel, or similar tools) to conduct trend analysis and support operational decisions. Highlight performance patterns, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in preparing visibility and logistics performance reports. Compliance & Sustainability Support Assist in audit preparation, documentation accuracy, and routine compliance checks. Support sustainability workstreams related to transportation efficiency, waste reduction, and data tracking. Technical & Core Competency Requirements AI‑Driven Visibility Uses visibility tools and GenAI‑enabled alerts to identify disruptions and support exception management. Predictive Automation Supports ML‑based predictive interventions and automated workflows to reduce manual exceptions. Capacity Planning Contributes to short‑term forecasting and basic demand‑signal analysis. Compliance Ensures accuracy in routine logistics documentation and adherence to trade compliance standards. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partners with transportation, planning, trade compliance, customer operations, and carriers for issue resolution. Data Analytics Uses dashboards and KPIs to perform basic trend analysis and support operational decisions. End‑to‑End Visibility Monitors shipment milestones across systems and escalates delays according to SOPs. Scenario Planning Supports simple digital-twin or what‑if analysis for operational planning. Risk Management Identifies common logistics risk triggers and applies standard mitigation procedures. Systems & Technology Familiar with TMS/WMS/ERP systems and capable of basic troubleshooting. Workflow Automation: Implements simple automation tools and recommends incremental process improvements.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 0–7+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations. Familiarity with visibility tools (FourKites, Project44), TMS/OTM, and ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Experience working with carriers and 3PL partners. Preferred Skills Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. Experience with automation tools or workflow scripts a plus. Strong communication, collaboration, and detail orientation. Lean/Six Sigma exposure beneficial.
