Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to join our Data Center team in Shah Alam. This critical role involves managing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensuring compliance across all contractors while acting as the primary liaison between construction, commissioning, and operations teams regarding energy safety.
You will review and approve energy isolation plans and permits, conducting field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols. Your role includes the authority to stop unsafe work practices and enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E standards. You will monitor and report on energy usage and performance metrics while validating mechanical and electrical system performance during commissioning.
Additionally, you will assist in implementing energy-saving strategies and sustainability best practices, maintaining detailed records of energy control activities and compliance metrics. Training and mentoring teams on electrical safety and energy isolation procedures will be a key part of your responsibilities.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field with 5-7 years of experience in electrical safety management, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments. Experience with energy isolation systems, commissioning processes, and large-scale electrical infrastructure is required.
You should have a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, HVAC, UPS, switchgear, and BMS, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation. Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and energy monitoring tools.
