Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager for Industrial and Data Center Construction Projects in Querétaro City, Mexico. This role is responsible for managing costs, budgets, and financial planning to ensure project efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports while applying Value Management techniques at project outset, involving Turner & Townsend's specialist Value Management team where appropriate. The position includes managing estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan to stakeholders.
You will manage the procurement process, implementing procurement and contracting strategies, and participate in negotiations ensuring all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, bid evaluations, cost negotiations, selection, and contract preparation are performed effectively with RFP revisions and evaluation.
You will ensure post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively, documenting any changes in design and updating budgets accordingly. The role includes ensuring cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively, and producing monthly post-contract cost reports for client presentation.
You will drive value engineering and life cycle costing initiatives, offering cost insights to support business decisions. The position requires ensuring final accounts are negotiated and agreed, while establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders, taking a lead role in client interfacing and other key relationships.
