Essential Functions
Conducts waste audits Conducts educational presentations and outreach Performs on site-waste consultations Trains sorter, faculty, students, and restaurant staff on proper sorting Develops, analyzes, and revises standard operating procedures related to waste management Prepares compliance and waste audit reports using data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as narrative summaries; ensures monitoring and tracking of sorting programs and oversees audits Coordinates the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) for sorters Facilitates a work environment that promotes a sustainable culture Acts as an advisor to the entire management team on best zero waste practices Oversees the sorting program Perform data entry in the work order systems. Create and track purchase orders in the accounting system. Performs other administrative duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s preferably in Environmental Studies/Science, Sustainability, OR equivalent years of experience Strong data and analytic skills; ability to translate data into actionable intelligence Thorough knowledge of San Francisco Zero Waste regulations Demonstrates exemplary customer service and excellent verbal, written, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to train, influence and motivate team members Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds Bilingual in English, Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus Graphic design is a plus, but not required Basic knowledge of PowerPoint and excel Presentation skills Flexibility in schedule
