The UC Sales Manager at Jordan Toyota ensures that the dealership meets its unit sales quotas and gross objectives on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. This role ensures that retail and fleet units sold produce sufficient gross to aid the dealership in reaching its profit objective. You will accomplish these objectives through planning, organizing, coordinating, and measuring the activities of the Used-Vehicle Sales Department.
You will make monthly projections of vehicle requirements by department for the immediate 90-day sales period and determine monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales, gross profit objectives, and departmental profits. You will forecast monthly with each salesperson to establish objectives in terms of customer traffic, closing percentages, time utilization, prospecting efforts, unit sales, and projected income.
You will recommend procedures to the Dealer for advertising, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, compensation plans, customer complaints, salesperson evaluations, and car rentals. Preparing a Plan of the Week and meeting with each salesperson daily to review results and plan actions are critical responsibilities. You will conduct sales meetings, facilitate pre-delivery with the Service Manager, and provide on-the-job training for salespeople.
You will ensure salespeople are following proper procedures and meeting performance standards. Your leadership will drive team success while fostering a positive, results-oriented culture. You will be accountable for achieving departmental goals and contributing to overall dealership profitability.
Previous automotive sales management experience is required. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office is preferred. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is necessary.
