As a Technician III, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering (Computer Numerical Control Machinist) at Western Digital, you will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts and components with the highest quality standards.
Your role involves selecting the correct cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring operations to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently in the machine shop. You will read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
In addition to machine operation, you will perform minor repairs including repairing faulty programs and addressing machinery issues. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential in maintaining production uptime and ensuring equipment operates at optimal performance levels.
This position requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field of study, along with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the relevant field. Industry exposure in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
