As a Technician II, Process Engineering at Western Digital, you will be responsible for monitoring process parameters using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and digital dashboards to ensure stable and efficient manufacturing operations.
You will handle equipment operation, setup, and changeovers, performing first-level troubleshooting and responding to production line issues as they arise. Your role is critical in maintaining production flow and minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and rapid response to equipment challenges.
Quality control is a core responsibility. You will perform in-process checks, record and report defects, and follow standard quality protocols to ensure products meet Western Digital's stringent quality standards. You will also provide preventive maintenance support to keep equipment running at peak performance.
Additionally, you will assist with process experiments, Design of Experiments (DOEs), and engineering trials to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintaining accurate documentation and performing data analysis will be essential to supporting engineering decisions and process optimization efforts.
This position requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, or a related field, along with at least 1 year of work experience in the relevant field.
