Tax & Compliance Officer - QBE Insurance

QBE Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented Tax & Compliance Officer to join our team in Cebu, Philippines. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in international tax accounting and compliance within a global insurance organization.

Role Overview

You will support complex tax accounting and compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves analyzing financial data, supporting tax projects, and driving process improvements to enhance tax reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of team strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
• Prepare analysis to support management decisions on tax planning and strategy
• Ensure all processes are documented in standard format and maintained accessibly
• Ensure training and knowledge remains up to date with current regulations
• Recommend changes to procedures to improve management of taxation and compliance risks
• Support development of projects promoting efficiency in preparation of government reports
• Provide guidelines to internal stakeholders on proper tax treatment of transactions
• Ensure timely submission of compliance trackers to GSSC Risk and Compliance team
• Maintain close coordination with various business units for document and information gathering
• Prepare accurate tax returns with supporting calculations reconciled with accounting records
