The Fairmont Student Work Experience Program offers current Culinary students the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a world-class hotel environment. You will work alongside seasoned professionals, applying your classroom learning in a real-world setting, and develop the practical skills essential for a successful career in the luxury hospitality industry. To be eligible, Students must be enrolled in a Culinary program at the time the program begins. Start Date: April/May 2026 End Date: September 2026 Job Duties Include: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning produce, meats, and other food items. Delivering food items for functions to various areas in the hotel. Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met Maintain a clean and organized prep station throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations. Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and prevent contamination Other reasonable duties as assigned Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant experience.
