This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week located at the Huntley Family Medicine clinic. The schedule is Wednesday (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM), Thursday (12:30 PM to 5:00 PM), and Friday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). May need to travel to Woodstock Resident clinic for coverage. Pediatrics experience is preferred.
Perform all aspects of patient care by utilizing evidence-based practice in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Follow the six medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors, administering medications based on the age and clinical condition of the patient.
State rationale for clinical decisions based on critical thinking. Assess, analyze, validate, and document patient conditions and responses to care. Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Responsible for phone triage, abnormal test result delivery, and corresponding care instructions. Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Candidates must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois with clinical nursing experience. Strong critical thinking and communication skills are essential.
