We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer with Big Data expertise to join our team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for global products using Java.
You will build high-performance, highly available, and secure backend systems to provide robust support for Big Data business operations. Your work will include engaging in and improving the entire service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
You will develop and maintain tools, re-designing capacity planning infrastructure for greater scalability. Your role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing software issues while ensuring data security and end-to-end system architecture integrity.
Candidates must have been engaged in or driven Big Data relevant projects currently or previously, such as Apache open source projects (Spark, YARN, Hadoop, Zookeeper, Kafka). A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and architecture is required.
Strong proficiency in Java is essential, along with experience in building scalable, distributed systems. Knowledge of cryptocurrency or financial services is a plus.
