The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting is responsible for overseeing external financial reporting processes to ensure high-quality financial disclosures. This role involves regular interaction with executive management and partnership with various departments across the company, providing broad exposure to business operations.
Drive and manage the preparation, review, and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements, and more, ensuring compliance with SEC rules, regulations, and US GAAP. Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for accurate and timely disclosures.
Manage the SEC reporting calendar and workflow to ensure all deadlines are met. Run discussions and meetings with finance leadership using exceptional communication skills. Ensure compliance with internal controls and oversee aspects of the close process, including share-based compensation accounting.
Provide guidance and training to junior team members and stakeholders on SEC reporting and disclosure requirements. Monitor changes in SEC regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends; recommend process improvements and updates to disclosures. Drive team career development and strategic goal setting. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
