Industrial Designers at Intuitive help design next-generation products and solutions for robotic surgery systems while refining and evolving existing product lines. As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will be a natural collaborator working with process partners including engineering, clinical development, human factors, user research, and product management teams.
You will focus on the physical aspects of products, employing deep understanding of user needs, ergonomics, form, proportion, color, materials, and manufacturing processes. Your work will transform complex technical designs into elegant, highly usable, and manufacturable forms. You will explore, prototype, and test a wide range of new ideas to build consensus on the right path forward.
As a natural storyteller, you will create compelling presentations that illustrate new user benefits and opportunities for Intuitive. You are responsible for defining and driving the design of new products, working closely with partners to create exceptional user experiences. This role requires hands-on involvement in translating real user insight into actionable design opportunities that empower users throughout their experience with our products.
The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in industrial design principles, proficiency in prototyping and testing methodologies, and strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. You should have a portfolio showcasing beautiful, manufacturable designs and the ability to communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
