We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Import & Export Officer to join our team in Shenzhen, China. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of our international import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimizing our global supply chain. As a senior-level professional, you will manage complex logistics operations, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and drive efficiency across our trade operations in this dynamic international business hub.
You will manage end-to-end import and export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. The role requires ensuring full compliance with Chinese customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies. You will coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to facilitate timely shipments while analyzing and optimizing shipping routes, carriers, and logistics costs to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor and track shipments throughout the supply chain, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders. Prepare and maintain detailed records of all import/export transactions for audit and compliance purposes. Resolve customs issues, delays, and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Negotiate terms with vendors, carriers, and service providers to achieve cost savings. Analyze trade data and generate reports on import/export performance and trends. Train and mentor junior staff on import/export procedures and best practices.
