Ummh is seeking a skilled Respiratory Clinician II to join our Respiratory Therapy team at the University Campus in Worcester, MA. This position offers 36 hours per week on night shift, working every other weekend and every other holiday from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. You will administer various forms of respiratory modalities in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Respiratory Care Department. Your duties include assessing patients' respiratory status, administering prescribed respiratory treatments, operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, monitoring patient responses to therapy, and documenting all care provided. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement respiratory care plans, respond to emergency codes, and provide patient and family education on respiratory care.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care required. Current Massachusetts Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure and BLS Certification are mandatory. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. Previous acute care experience is highly desirable. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently are essential.
This non-exempt position offers a competitive hourly range of $39.33 to $57.39, with final offers based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external new hires to the UMMH system. This is a union position represented by SHARE (State Healthcare and Research Employees).
