As Reservations Manager, you will lead the Reservations team and play a key role in shaping each guest’s journey before they arrive. This is a 12-month parental leave cover commencing mid-May , offering the opportunity to step into a leadership role within a luxury hotel environment. You are a natural leader with a passion for service excellence, strong organisational capability, and an eye for detail. You understand that every reservation is the beginning of a guest experience, and you ensure it is handled with care, precision, and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting the Reservations team to deliver a seamless and refined booking experience across all channels Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, and partners through exceptional service Ensuring reservations are processed accurately and efficiently using hotel systems Maintaining a strategic selling approach to maximise occupancy and rate performance, working closely with Revenue Management Overseeing workflow and prioritisation across the team to ensure consistency and efficiency Managing group reservations including rooming lists, releases, and multi-property coordination Maintaining clear and professional communication with clients throughout the booking process Driving upselling, cross selling, and promotion of the hotel’s facilities and experiences Collaborating with Front Office, Sales, and Marketing teams to maximise conversion and enhance the guest journey
Previous Reservations experience in the hotel industry is essential, with exposure to a luxury environment highly regarded A genuine passion for delivering exceptional and personalised guest experiences Strong knowledge of PMS systems, with OPERA Cloud experience highly regarded A results-focused mindset with the ability to drive performance and achieve targets Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal A calm, confident approach in a fast paced environment with the ability to lead and support a team Proven leadership capability with experience developing and motivating high performing teams Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
