The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
We seek a clinically competent, registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in direct patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff.
Create documented plans focused on outcomes and decisions related to care delivery. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects. Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions. Utilize best available evidence for practice decisions.
