We seek a clinically competent, registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The successful candidate will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate care delivery and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in direct patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff.
Create documented plans focused on outcomes and decisions related to care delivery. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects. Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions and individualize plans of care based on evaluation findings. Utilize best available evidence for practice decisions.
