The Staff Nurse Inpatient - Float at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is a clinically competent registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care to acutely ill patients. This full-time position works 12-hour night shifts with 0.9 FTE status.
You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation to provide comprehensive patient care. Your clinical competence ensures patients receive the highest quality nursing care while maintaining ANA standards of professional practice.
Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, and develop individualized care plans. You'll coordinate care delivery and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes, collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in direct patient care. Create documented plans focused on outcomes that indicate communications with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects. Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions, individualizing plans of care based on evaluation findings to ensure optimal outcomes.
