Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room at Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois. This full-time night shift position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Important Notice: At this time, Palos Hospital is not considering external ADN candidates for RN openings. We appreciate your interest in Northwestern Medicine and encourage external candidates to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Internal ADN candidates are still encouraged to apply.
Professional Accountability: The Staff Nurse assumes accountability and responsibility for individualized, age-specific care of patients along the continuum from admission to discharge. You will provide direct care to assigned patients and assist with other patient care when necessary, making ethical decisions on behalf of patients and families.
Clinical Excellence: As a registered professional nurse, you will collect and analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses, collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and develop comprehensive plans of care to attain realistic outcomes. Education founded on evidence-based practice and systematic evaluation of nursing practice effectiveness are core responsibilities.
Assessment & Documentation: You will assess and record patient status, identifying patient care needs upon admission and point of care entry. Organizing assessment health data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility is essential for optimal patient outcomes in our emergency care setting.
