Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit in McHenry, IL. This part-time night shift position offers the opportunity to work with acutely ill cardiac patients in a specialized telemetry environment.
The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory/accreditation standards. As a clinically competent registered professional nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care to acutely ill patients through the comprehensive nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, identifying expected outcomes, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery, and evaluating progress toward attainment of outcomes. You will direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in providing direct patient care. The role requires collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff, creating documented plans focused on outcomes and decisions related to care delivery that indicate communications with patients and families. You will participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects, evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record, and properly individualize care plans based on evaluation findings while utilizing the best available evidence.
Candidates must possess an active RN license, demonstrate clinical competence in cardiac/telemetry nursing, and exhibit strong critical thinking and communication skills.
