The Staff Nurse Inpatient position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program. As a clinically competent Registered Professional Nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care to acutely ill patients through the comprehensive nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice in our Cardiac Telemetry unit on a part-time day shift schedule.
As a Staff Nurse, you will collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. You will direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in providing direct patient care. The role requires collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery. You will create documented plans focused on outcomes and decisions related to care and delivery of services that indicate communications with patients, families, and others. Participation in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects is expected. You will evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record, properly individualizing the plan of care based on evaluation findings. The position requires utilizing the best available evidence to guide practice and ensure optimal patient outcomes in the cardiac telemetry setting.
Candidates must possess an active RN license in the state of Illinois. A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred. Previous experience in cardiac telemetry or acute care nursing is advantageous. BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification is preferred. Strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this part-time role.
