Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac ICU team in Winfield, IL. This full-time night shift position offers the opportunity to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a state-of-the-art intensive care environment.
About the Role: The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Professional Practice: As a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities: You will collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Directing care and determining appropriate utilization of assistants involved in providing direct patient care are essential duties.
Collaboration: You will collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff while creating documented plans focused on outcomes. Participating in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects demonstrates professional engagement.
Documentation: You will evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and properly individualize the plan of care based on evaluation findings.
