We have an opening for a Radiological Field Support Lead to provide technical guidance, leadership, mentoring, and career development to Integrated Safety Team (IST) Health Physicists. This position is in the Radiation Protection Functional Area (RPFA) within the Environment, Safety & Health (ES&H) Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
You will partner with IST Leaders to ensure adequate supervision is provided to IST Health Physicists, including anticipating future needs and providing guidance to ensure radiological aspects of programs meet LLNL Radiation Protection Program requirements. You will develop and maintain radiation safety program procedures and processes in compliance with LLNL policies, DOE Orders, and federal regulations. This role provides advanced technical leadership, direction, training, mentoring, and guidance to IST HPs to ensure high-quality field HP services. You will perform program management activities including work and resource planning, safe conduct of work, evaluation of program performance, and customer satisfaction.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. The position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team.
