Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Geneva, IL. This full-time night shift position (11pm-7:30am) offers the opportunity to work with diverse radiographic equipment while providing essential imaging services to our patients.
About the Role: The Rad Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position is capable of taking any or all types of radiographs with several different types of equipment.
Patient Interaction: You will function as the first line interface with patients/customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Instructing and preparing patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations is a key responsibility.
Technical Responsibilities: You will utilize markers on a consistent basis, demonstrate overall knowledge of exams, and produce high-quality films consistently. Understanding and properly using CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation are essential skills for this role.
Documentation & Efficiency: You will write complete patient histories for radiologists, utilize PACS with few errors, and demonstrate overall efficiency of work and time. Utilizing slow time constructively by stocking rooms, emptying linen, and helping with transport demonstrates initiative.
Patient Care: You will assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedures, make appropriate physician contact for intervention, and practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures including proper handwashing.
