Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our In-House Registry team in McHenry, IL on a casual basis with variable shifts. This position offers flexibility while providing essential imaging services to our patients.
Schedule Details: This is a 1.2 hours per week position with no holiday rotations. A minimum of 5 shifts per month is required with variable start/end times per week and variable weekend rotations.
About the Role: The Rad Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position is capable of taking any or all types of radiographs with several different types of equipment.
Patient Interaction: You will function as the first line interface with patients/customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Instructing and preparing patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations is a key responsibility.
Technical Responsibilities: You will utilize markers consistently, demonstrate overall knowledge of exams, and produce high-quality films consistently. Understanding and properly using CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation are essential skills.
Documentation & Efficiency: You will write complete patient histories for radiologists, utilize PACS with few errors, and demonstrate overall efficiency. Utilizing slow time constructively by stocking rooms and helping with transport demonstrates initiative.
