The Quick Lane Technician position at Lone Star Chevrolet, part of Sonic Automotive, is responsible for performing quick service and routine maintenance to ensure customer vehicles are maintained in optimal condition. This express service role requires efficiency, technical knowledge, and commitment to quality service delivery.
As Lube Technician, you will perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs for customer vehicles. Conducting comprehensive tire inspections, including patching tires and checking air pressure, is a core responsibility. You will inspect and replace air and cabin filters as needed to maintain vehicle performance and air quality.
Ensuring all vehicle fluids including brake fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant are at proper levels is essential. You will perform quick inspections of belts, hoses, and other basic vehicle components to identify potential issues. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment while adhering to dealership and industry standards is a daily requirement.
You will ensure all equipment is in proper working order, especially vehicle lifts, and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Immediately reporting any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor is mandatory. This position requires working Saturdays with Sundays always off.
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as an Express Technician, Lube Technician, or technician helper in an automobile or quick service shop. You must have your own set of tools including socket sets, hand tools, and impact tools. Basic automotive repair and maintenance knowledge is required, along with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
