AbbVie is seeking a Project Maintenance Technician for our Carrigtwohill, Co Cork manufacturing site on a 23-month fixed-term contract. This day shift role supports project execution by ensuring equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and according to project schedules.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and systems equipment related to project activities. The role includes installing, modifying, and commissioning equipment for new and ongoing projects, troubleshooting equipment failures, and identifying root causes. You will support project teams through planning, execution, and close-out phases while reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Additional responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and supporting FATs/SATs and commissioning activities.
The ideal candidate brings technical maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical systems. You should demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, commitment to safety standards, and ability to work effectively in a project environment. Experience with commissioning and equipment installation is highly valued.
