The Production Manager achieves performance goals for the Production Area alongside a functional team. Goals include Safety Incidents, Absenteeism, Turnover, PL, DN, NCR, Scrap, Production Plan, Efficiency, Hours Accuracy, and Downtime metrics. This role is critical in driving operational excellence in manufacturing operations.
Perform interviews, hire, onboard, train, reward, recognize, and discipline direct reports. Manage conflicts, enforce discipline, and follow up with low-performing supervisors. Ensure completion of all ISU-related training for associates under supervision. Write and conduct formal annual performance reviews and monthly one-on-one meetings.
Train, develop, and enforce adherence to applicable DOPs and SOPs of the EHS System, Quality System, and Manufacturing Guidelines. Follow up with employees through coaching and provide feedback based on goals and expectations. Assign and manage workload to monitor employee development plans.
Drive Culture Strategy by fostering mission, founding principles, and leadership expectations. Own Production Metrics and coordinate actions to ensure KPI goals are met. Generate Production Reports and manage Tier 2 reporting. Update and revise Manufacturing Process Instructions to ensure MPIs are accurate and complete. Review and approve ECOs to determine manufacturing impact.
