Sika AG is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team in Seoul. This position is responsible for procurement of raw materials, equipment, parts, construction, and services. The Procurement Manager will develop procurement strategies, ensure timely purchase order issuance, and manage negotiations and bidding processes including RFQ and contracts with suppliers.
You will manage delivery schedules and custom clearance related to tax exemption such as FTA. Conducting demand and market analysis, managing qualified vendor pools, and handling mid/long-term and short-term supplier relation management are essential duties. New vendor development and vendor performance evaluation are critical responsibilities.
You will maintain good and effective communication networks with internal stakeholders throughout the company and ensure alignment with Global/APAC Procurement policy. Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with Governmental Regulations, Company Policies/Procedures/Processes, and Code of Conduct is mandatory. Target setting and management with activities for cost reduction are key objectives.
At least 12 years of purchasing or related commercial work experience in manufacturing business is required. Career experience in both Raw Material Purchasing and Equipment Purchasing is necessary. A Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical or commercial field is required. Strong communication, cooperation, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and a commercial-focused strategic mindset are essential. Good foundation in purchasing know-how, negotiation skills, analysis, coordination, reporting, and business-level English skills are highly required.
