We are seeking a reliable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Virtual Patient Care Coordinator to support the TPL New Patient Coordinator in processing incoming referrals. This contractor position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in healthcare administration.
You will assist with processing new patient referrals and collect and follow up on all required documentation to ensure complete and timely admissions. The role includes uploading, scanning, and accurately organizing documents in patient charts, reviewing referral information to ensure completeness prior to scheduling, and calling patients to coordinate new patient appointments.
Confirm that appointments are correctly scheduled according to provider, location, and referral details. Notify legal teams and referral partners of appointment dates, times, and locations. Maintain accurate tracking of referrals, scheduling status, and outstanding items while clearly documenting actions and communications in the EMR system.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical administration or appointment scheduling is required. We seek candidates with strong organizational skills and ability to manage high volumes of follow-ups and multiple tasks, excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, ability to work independently in a virtual environment, and experience with EMR systems.
This is a contractor position with onsite work in Mérida and Chihuahua, Mexico. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
