Lute Riley Honda is seeking a Parts Counterperson to join their team. This position is responsible for picking up and delivering parts and for carrying out jobs and assignments set forth by the department manager. The Parts Counterperson will administer internal procedures and reports to ensure smooth parts department operations.
You will check with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries. Checking with the body shop to determine immediate parts needs and delivering parts to body shop while distributing parts to technicians are key duties.
You will verify invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up, check payments received with invoices for each delivery, and keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups while collecting signatures. Additional responsibilities include unloading deliveries, handling basic maintenance of the delivery truck, advising on needed repairs, assisting the service department, and helping with stocking and posting orders when they arrive.
Candidates must have 1+ years of experience in an automotive dealership parts department. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for this position.
