Metro's Speech Department is expanding and seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist to work at our outpatient clinic in Ridge, New York. This position offers 2 days per week of flexible scheduling, perfect for clinicians seeking work-life balance while maintaining clinical excellence.
You will work with a diverse patient caseload including individuals with Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age communication disorders, Voice disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, and AAC users. Our department has recently partnered with NYU Langone to build and expand our outpatient clinics, offering exciting growth opportunities.
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at comprehensive patient assessment and develops creative, effective treatment plans. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and excited to take on emerging challenges in a growing department.
Evaluate patients' speech therapy needs and develop appropriate, individualized treatment plans. Provide high-quality care based on physician care plans, agency policies, and professional standards of care. Instruct family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Must be a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Mandatory certifications include First Aid, AED, and CPR (live course).
