Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a per diem employee to work in our outpatient clinic in Port Jefferson Station 2 days per week. Caseload demographics include Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, and more.
We have just partnered with NYU Langone and will be building our outpatient clinics. Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We're looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.
Job Type: Per Diem. Pay: $65.00 per hour. Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Evaluates patient's need for speech therapy and develops appropriate treatment plans. Provide appropriate care and treatment based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care. Instruct family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques and HEP.
First Aid, AED, and CPR Certifications (live course) mandatory.
