Metro's Speech Department is expanding and seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist for our outpatient clinic in Jericho, New York. This position offers 2 days per week, providing excellent work-life balance while delivering quality patient care.
You will work with a varied patient population including individuals with Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age communication disorders, Voice disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, and AAC users. Our partnership with NYU Langone supports continued growth and clinic development.
We seek a motivated, compassionate, and innovative Speech Therapist who excels at comprehensive patient assessment and develops creative, effective treatment strategies. The ideal candidate is a flexible, collaborative team member enthusiastic about emerging challenges.
Evaluate patients' speech therapy needs and create individualized, appropriate treatment plans. Provide care aligned with physician care plans, agency policies, and professional healthcare standards. Educate family members, Home Health Aides, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State or eligible for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Mandatory certifications include First Aid, AED, and CPR from live courses.
