Metro's Speech Department continues its growth trajectory and is seeking a dedicated per diem Speech-Language Pathologist for our outpatient clinic in Hampton Bays, New York. This position offers 2 days per week, providing flexibility while maintaining meaningful clinical work.
You will serve a diverse patient population including individuals with Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age communication disorders, Voice disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, and AAC users. Our recent partnership with NYU Langone positions us for significant expansion of outpatient services.
We seek a motivated, compassionate, and innovative Speech Therapist who demonstrates excellence in patient assessment and creative treatment plan development. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments and embraces emerging challenges with enthusiasm.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans. Deliver appropriate care aligned with physician care plans, agency policies, and professional healthcare standards. Train family members, Home Health Aides, and caregivers in effective speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State or eligibility for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required. Must maintain current First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications through live courses.
